About

An operations layer, built with deliberate honesty

Multi-academy trusts have invested heavily in systems that hold data well. Far less attention has gone to the work that happens around those systems: responsibilities, deadlines, evidence, decisions and follow-through.

What we believe

Operational failure in trusts is rarely a failure of effort. It is a failure of shared visibility. When several capable teams each hold part of the picture, work is repeated, deadlines pass and nobody is at fault.

Why not another MIS

Replacing core systems is expensive, disruptive and usually unnecessary. The gap we care about sits alongside them, coordinating people and processes rather than pupil records.

Where AI belongs

In preparation, not judgement. Assembling the relevant material and drafting the repetitive part is genuinely useful. Deciding remains a human responsibility.

Our commitments

How we talk about this product

  • Say what the product does today, and what it does not.
  • Label demonstration data as fictional, every time.
  • Never claim certification, accreditation or approval we do not hold.
  • Never promise compliance we cannot determine.
  • Keep accountable decisions with named people.
  • Make AI outputs traceable to their sources.
  • Design for trusts that will still use their existing systems.
  • Prefer an honest “not yet” to a comfortable implication.

Current stage, stated plainly

EduGap is in active development. It is not currently in use by real schools or trusts. The demonstration on this site is a fictional, browser-only environment built to show how the platform is designed to work. No third-party integration is live, and we hold no certification, accreditation or Department for Education approval.

If you are evaluating this seriously, we would rather have an honest conversation about what exists today than win a comparison with a claim we cannot support.
